Well summer feels like it is here, but then we still get those wonderful inbetween days when the weather is warm but not to hot and the evenings are just a bit chilly. Those come in Spring and Fall, and they are my favorite times of the year. I live in Tennessee where the flowering plants in Spring can bring tears to your eyes... not just allergy tears either! I enjoy planting herbs and tomatos for the summer months and really that is odd coming from someone who hates to get her hands dirty.
I sit staring out my kitchen door at the beautiful sun lace patterns on the porch and hear the birds chirping away. It makes it hard to concentrate on writing! But it does inspire the soul. Before you step out your door, stop and look out your window for a moment and remind yourself what you like about what you see. You might be surprised what you forgot was in plain sight. I had a child once tell me that April storms were just God shaking the Earth awake from its winter nap. If that is the case, then I'd say it's sitting up in bed and yawning, hoping for a fresh brewed tasty morning treat. Good morning Earth!
